No-Fruit Smoothie

One of my New Year’s resolutions is not dieting, but trying to cut back on sugar and increase my intake of dark, leafy greens and cruciferous vegetables. Spinach, kale, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage... are rich in calcium, iron, magnesium and help with detoxification.

INGREDIENTS

Serves 1
  • 300 ml almond milk
  • ¼ avocado
  • 1 handful organic kale
  • 1 handful organic spinach or lettuce
  • 1 large handful mint leaves
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseeds
  • 1 tbsp protein powder ( I use Pulsin Hemp protein or Life Drink from Terranova, which is supplement packed with phytonutrients, protein, enzymes, probiotics, good fats, fibre and much more.)

Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy!
